TRIZ
Explorer™ software package combines ability to
access TRIZ knowledge base with ability to manage user-defined
knowledge. Our strategy is to provide the users with an integrated
environment which makes it possible to use the package first, as
TRIZ reference system, and second, as a tool for managing
knowledge and information collected during working on different
projects.
Unlike other software tools which
support problem-solving process with TRIZ, TRIZ
Explorer™ is targeted at those customers who need
an easily accessible and reasonably-priced structured reference
system of TRIZ knowledge. In addition, ability to manage personal
information and knowledge brings extra value to the package.

Knowledge
base
The knowledge base of TRIZ
Explorer version 1.0 includes five sections:
- Inventive Principles for
elimination of physical and technical contradictions.
- Inventive Standards: generic
patterns of inventive solutions which incorporate patterns of
technology evolution.
- Pointer to Physical Effects and
Phenomena (detailed description of 160 entries).
- TRIZ Internet resources.
- User-manageable local and
external knowledge and information resources.
Each section contains a number of
knowledge categories and knowledge concepts which correspond to
the TRIZ problem-solving techniques. The users may add new
concepts, as well as identify their own resources located on their
computers and on the Internet with already existing or newly added
concepts.
Interface
The package uses Microsoft Internet
Explorer for presentation of the content. The browsing software is
smoothly embedded in the package when the package is running.
Ability to work with embedded Microsoft Office documents is also
supported. TRIZ Explorer™
thus becomes the integrating environment where the users can work
on their own projects without switching between multiple windows
as well as define their own knowledge tree for managing documents.
